MSi developed the WOC (Work Order Confirmation) application in order to enable automation of multiple processes which were manually performed for the notification of customer activities. The WOC deliverable included a central system used for the automation of e-mail generation and delivery to the customer. This single point solution gathers information from multiple systems (ordering platforms, billing systems, agent ticketing tools) and automatically sorts, merges, and organizes the information based on predefined relevancy criteria and generates an e-mail to the customer with all information pertaining to their activities. The MSi team managed the entire life cycle of the project providing a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Developers and Testers. In addition the project used RAD methodology commonly used and supported by MSi employees.

This project included the development of a standalone application from the point of requirement gathering, blue printing and design and all the way to testing and production. The system developed was integrated both on the back-end while receiving and collecting information from multiple legacy systems as well as on the front end in being able to compile the information and generate and send e-mails to customers. The WOC is built using Oracle’s database and PL/SQL and using several Java technologies. Integration with external systems is accomplished using web services to allow for easy Interoperability.

The automated order confirmation system has been integrated with several distinct systems. MSi provided services supporting functional and technical development of a system used to integrate data from multiple different sources. MSi was able to design and develop the system and was also responsible for the testing and for deploying the system into a production environment
